The U.S. Department of Treasury has certified the National Urban League’s small business lending subsidiary, The Urban Empowerment Fund, as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), bolstering its ability to deliver vital capital to minority-owned small businesses in urban communities. The Urban Empowerment Fund (UEF) helps Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) access capital, survive, prosper, grow, create jobs, and generate individual and community wealth.

The Resiliency Fund: City of Dayton
The focus of the Resiliency Fund: City of Dayton is to support small black and brown minority businesses that are continuing to operate and plan to operate for the remaining calendar year of 2024. The various Tiers represent the support minority Businesses of color need to bridge the financial gaps the COVID-19 Pandemic has disproportionately affected Minority Businesses. The Resiliency Fund also provides an opportunity for businesses to receive support to allow them to pivot during these challenging times.
Rapid Tenancy Program and Commercial Rental Assistance – Cincinnati
Rapid Tenancy Program is the opportunity to impact Black and Hispanic-owned businesses and help impact minority business growth in Cincinnati’s traditionally disadvantaged communities. The program is designed to address the critical barriers of Relocation costs, Technical Assistance around implementing relocation, Technical Assistance in business model evaluation and support for relocation, and Cash Flow challenges associated with relocation.
