
Economic Empowerment Center (EEC)
The Regional Economic Empowerment Center (EEC) of the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio works with private, public, and nonprofit resources to build strong, sustainable, and successful minority businesses. The result will be wealth and job creation and better economic health in the urban core communities of Greater Cincinnati and Dayton.
Mission
Our mission is to accelerate our local and regional economy by assisting individuals who want to start or grow their businesses. We offer customized business consulting, training, educational opportunities, and connections to innovative technical resources.
Training/Cohort Programs
Through our Training/Cohort Program, participants gain valuable knowledge, skills, and guidance from experienced mentors and industry experts. The program typically includes a series of workshops, seminars, and interactive sessions that cover various aspects of entrepreneurship, such as business planning, market research, marketing strategies, financial management, and leadership development.

African American Business Development Program (AABDP)
The mission of the African American Business Development Program (AABDP) is to create an environment where experienced owners are challenged to explore new leadership concepts and opportunities that will create sustainable companies that benefit the community through economic growth and job creation.

The Foundation of Food Entrepreneurship Program under the Black Restaurant Accelerator Program (BRAP)
This is an accelerated and comprehensive 10-week business development program designed for African American food service business owners who want to build sustainable and scalable companies.

Grants Opportunities
Grants present a unique avenue for entrepreneurs and small business owners to obtain non-repayable funding to fuel their growth, achieve their objectives, and contribute to their communities and society.

The Resiliency Fund: City of Dayton
The focus of the Resiliency Fund: City of Dayton is to support black and brown small minority businesses that are continuing to operate and plan to operate for the remaining calendar year of 2023. The various Tiers represent the support minority Businesses of color need to bridge the financial gaps the COVID-19 Pandemic has disproportionately affected Minority Businesses. The Resiliency Fund also provides an opportunity for businesses to receive support to allow them to pivot during these challenging times.

Rapid Tenancy Program and Commercial Rental Assistance – Cincinnati
Rapid Tenancy Program is the opportunity to impact Black and Hispanic-owned businesses and help impact minority business growth in Cincinnati’s traditionally disadvantaged communities. The program is designed to address the critical barriers of Relocation costs, Technical Assistance around implementing relocation, Technical Assistance in business model evaluation and support for relocation, and Cash Flow challenges associated with relocation.
