Start your Business

We serve the aspiring entrepreneur who needs to understand the requirements for going into business, financial management issues, marketing techniques and strategies, business plan development and implementation, and the qualifications for obtaining start-up funds.

Before meeting with the Ohio SBDC, we ask that you attend one of our information sessions and workshops.  This workshop will prepare you to have a much more productive meeting with a Certified Business Advisor® (CBA).

Then we can work with you to discuss your ideas, conduct market research on your product and your customer, prepare a business plan and cash flow projections, and set realistic financial and profitability goals.

Manage your Business

We work with you to help plan and manage for success.

A business plan is a written explanation about your business, products, services, and customers. It describes how you will operate and who will manage the business.

It can also help determine the feasibility of your ideas and serve as a road map to start, expand, or re-structure a business. A business plan is first a management tool, but it is also often a requirement for obtaining loans or investors.
